Old Town School Reading

On April 24th, students from Ms. Dennehy's class took a field trip to the Old Town School in Chicago's Lincoln Square neighborhood. Classes from various Hands on Stanzas schools attended, as well as others from schools interested in the program and hearing great poetry. For the second year in a row, selected Hands on Stanzas poets-in-residence read, along with students chosen to read from each residency. 5th grader Michelle Wieczorek wowed the crowd (including her dad) with three of her terrific poems.
